Stoke-On-Trent

A bone china cup with gilt edging to the rim. The interior and exterior are decorated with blue, orange and gilded flowers. The Spode company was established by Josiah Spode in 1767. By 1776 Josiah Spode was the sole owner of the Spode factory, which is still in operation today. The factory remained under ownership of the Spode family until the early 1830s.
