Description:

Norwegian copper skilling, 1820

Diameter 26mm

The obverse features the Norwegian Coat of Arms - a crown above a shield bearing a lion rampant holding an axe. The Coat of Arms divides the monogram of King Charles XIV Johan, King of Sweden and Norway. The reverse features the denomination flanked by two petalled rosettes. The written denomination is below and the date is underneath that. At the base is the mintmark for Kongsberg which is two crossed hammers.
