French copper centime, L'An 6 (1797)


Diameter 18mm


The obverse features the bust of Marianne, wearing the Phrygian, also known as liberty, cap and facing left. The inscription reads 'REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE'. There is a ring of dots around the outside and script below the bust which is illegible on this example. The reverse features the denomination above the date with the mint and Privy Marks for Paris below. They all appear within a ring of dots.
