Description:

English brass token, 1820

Diameter 34mm

The obverse features the draped laureate bust of George III facing right with the date underneath. The inscription reads 'GOD:SAVE:THE:KING'. The reverse features the just legible words 'PUBLICKE ACCOMMODATION' and there are other details which have been obscured by wear. There is a hole pierced through the top of the token which is not part of the original design. The coin has been stamped off centre.
