Description:

French bronze 10 centimes, 1854

Diameter 29mm

The obverse features the bust of Emperor Napoleon III facing left. His image appears within a ring of dots. Below the bust is a name, possibly of the designer or engraver. The inscription reads 'NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR' with the date below. To the right of the date is a lamp which is the Lille Privy Mark. The reverse features an eagle and the Lille mint mark 'W' within a ring of dots. Around the outside is the inscription 'EMPIRE FRANCAIS/10 CENTIMES' divided by two stars.
