English bronze penny, 1912

Diameter 30mm

The obverse features the bust of George V facing left. The inscription reads 'GEORGIUS V DEI GRA:BRITT:OMN:REX FID:DEF:IND:IMP', Latin, abbreviated for 'George V By the Grace of God King of All the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India'. The reverse features Britannia seated facing right. She has a shield at her side and a trident in her left hand. The date is below and the denomination is above the central image.
