Description:Half gallon bottle of medicinal liquid paraffin from Wyley's Ltd Wholesale and Manufacturing Chemists, Coventry. Medicinal paraffin is a highly refined mineral white oil used in Infrared Spectroscopy and, in wax form, in Paraffin-Wax Baths. Both treatments were given at the physiotherapy department at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa. Liquid paraffin was also taken to aid bowel movement.
