Description:These hooks were used with sling apparatus in physiotherapy treatments at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa. Slings were hooked to pulleys on a frame above the patient's bed. During treatment the patient's leg was placed into slings at the knee and ankle, and green weight bags were attached to the foot. The patient then moved their foot up and down to build up the muscles. Resistance was created by hooking metal springs to the pulleys.
