Description:Eliot writes to John Sibree apologising for not paying postage on a letter and enclosing stamps to cover postage. Transcript: My dear Mr. Sibree It was owing to my neglect that Mary's letter was put into our bag without having prepaid written on it. You must allow me to make the proper amende by sending the enclosed stamps. Unless you are quite weary of me I shall hope to have a continuation of your last letter soon.
