Description:Shakespeare’s fellow actors.
In the 'First Folio' of Shakespeare's plays, published seven years after his death the names of the principal actors in his company, the King's Men, are named. Richard Burbage was their leading member and was the actor for whom Shakespeare wrote many of his greatest roles. Augustine Philips, Thomas Pope and the comedy actor, Will Kempe, were sharers in the Globe Theatre's ownership with Shakespeare and Burbage, while Henry Condell was a 'housekeeper' (manager we would say today) at the Blackfriars theatre. Shakespeare is traditionally believed to have acted smaller roles such as the Ghost in Hamlet, or Adam in As You Like It.
See: Hamlet, - ghost 1,1, lines 38-49, and 1,4, lines 18-183, and 3, 4, lines 94-127.
