Description:Shakespeare’s fellow actors. The company of actors known as the King’s Men, who first performed Shakespeare’s plays, had their names listed in the ‘First Folio’. Among them are Richard Burbage, who led the company, and for whom roles such as Hamlet and Richard III were written, and Robert Armin the musical comic actor who was probably the first to play Feste in Twelfth Night. There were no women actors at this time and boys such as Nathan Field undertook the female roles including Rosalind, Juliet and Cleopatra.
