Description:Sermons: frequently heard by Shakespeare. Regular attendance at church made all Elizabethans familiar with sermons delivered by the local, or visiting clergy. In Shakespeare's comedies especially, his presentation of clergymen, such as Oliver Martext in As you Like It, shows little respect for these leading members of every local community.
