Description:An Infant Baptism: Shakespeare was baptised 23 April 1564.

William Shakespeare, the first boy, but third child of John and Mary Shakespeare, was baptised in the local parish church of Stratford-upon-Avon on 23rd April 1564. The record of this event is in the Parish Register which is housed at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Records Office.
