Description:A view of the Great Hall at Warwick Castle, taken in the 1880s.

At this time, the Great Hall was used as a luxurious living room, and was crowded with furniture.

After 1893, the Countess of Warwick regularly hosted lavish parties here, including a spectacular costume ball, Bal Poudre, in 1895.
