The obverse features the monogram of Friedrich II, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, with a crown above. The reverse features the denomination, '1 /SCHILLING /COURANT', 'MECKLENB/ SCHWERIN', and the German word for 'coin', 'MUNZE', with the date below.
