Austrian silver three kreuzer, 1835
Diameter 17mm
The obverse features the laureate bust of Ferdinand I facing right. The inscription reads 'FERDINANDUS I. D. G. AUST. IMPERATOR', meaning 'Ferdinand I By the Grace of God Emperor of Austria'. Directly beneath the bust is the mintmark for Vienna, 'A'. The reverse features a double headed eagle with a crown on each head and a third crown above. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left. There is an oval on its chest with a '3' in the middle, the oval is surrounded by a medal collar. The inscription reads 'HUNG. BOH. LOMBARD. ET. VEN. GAL. LOD. IL. REX. A. A. 1835', 'King of Hungary Bohemia Lombardy and Venice Galicia Lodomeria Illyria, Archduke of Austria'.
