Medal struck to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria's reign, which was the longest of any single British Monarch. The obverse features the diademed bust of Queen Victoria facing left with an inscription in Latin celebrating sixty years of her reign. The reverse features a 'young bust' of Queen Victoria facing left. Below is the date of her ascension, 1837, and an olive branch. The inscription reads 'LONGITUDO DIERUM IN DEXTERA EIUS/ ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA', 'Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand Glory.'
