Medal struck to commemorate Queen Victoria's visit to Warwick, June 16th 1858, the day after she opened Aston Hall in Birmingham. The obverse features the diademed bust of Queen Victoria facing left with the inscription 'VICTORIA REGINA'. The name of 'Pinches, London' is below, possibly the designer or engraver. The reverse features a view of Warwick Castle and the inscription 'TO COMMEMORATE THE VISIT/ OF HER MAJESTY/ TO WARWICK, JUNE 16.1858' within a central oval. Above and below are the rose, shamrock and thistle intertwined, representing England, Ireland and Scotland.
