English silver threepence, 1713

Diameter 16mm

The obverse is very worn but features the draped bust of Queen Anne facing left. The inscription reads 'ANNA. DEI./ GRATIA', Latin for 'Anne By the Grace of God'. The reverse features a large '3' topped by a crown and the inscription 'MAG.BRI.FR.ET.HIB.REG' Latin, abbreviated meaning 'Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland'.
