Description:

English silver threepence, Maundy Set, 1860

Diameter 17mm

The obverse features the bust of Queen Victoria facing left and the inscription, 'VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D', a Latin abbreviation for 'Victoria By the Grace of God Queen of Britain, Defender of the Faith'. The reverse features a large central '3' dividing the date, and a crown above within a wreath of oak tied at the base with a bow.
