Description:This is an oil painting on canvas of a young girl holding a bunch of cherries and a sprig of red flowers. Cherries are tradtionally held in the hand of the infant Christ and religous overtones like this are often seen in portraits of children. It is painted by an artist of the English Provincial School and dates from about 1820. Framed size Height 834mm, Width 618mm, Depth 37mm
