Description:This is an oil painting on canvas depicting Daniel Lambert, the celbrated fattest man on record. In 1805 he resigned as Keeper of Leicester Gaol to both make a tour of England drawing large crowds, and to receive paying visitors to his lodgings. He was believed to have weighed 52 stone at the time of his death in 1809. This painting dates from about 1800. Framed size Height 875mm, Width 750mm, Depth 55mm
