Description:This wrought-iron rick knife is typical in form - a large blade with handle attached at one end. The cylindrical wooden handle has a multiple reeded ornament and the blade is stamped with the maker's name: 'Isaac Nash', and two initial 'N's. Before balers were in common use rick knives were used to cut the hay out of the rick in squares. This knife is British, and is dated around 1900. Height 601mm, Length 800mm, Width 161mm
