Description:Part of wall from unidentified ruined stone building, showing filled in window arch, Newbold on Stour. 1920s
[It is very likely that this photo relates to the back of Hands Farm, where there was and still are the remains of a bread oven. The bread oven still remained in 1996 and could become functional again. The bread oven room was later used as a coalhouseand and there was a dairy next to the bread oven.On the side of the front wall is a stone set into the brickwork with the date 1699. Three Grand National winners came from the Hands stable and it is said that their beer and cider was renowned throughout the country.]
