Description:Admirals housing estate, Bilton. 1930s
[It has been pointed out that this photograph is incorrectly labelled as the Kingsway estate][The road shown is Nelson Way, Kingsway Estate. These houses were built in the 1950s by English Electric, the blocks of flats on the right of the photo are in Queensferry Close also part of the same estate.][The road is named after George Horatio Nelson, Chairman of the English Electric for some 30 years. It has nothing to do with the adjacent Admirals Estate built much later.]
