Description:Portrait of Sergeant A. Charman, D.C.M. Royal Warwickshire Regiment known as The Hero of Mons Retreat. The D.C.M. was awarded - " For conspicuous good service at a critical moment, whereby he was mainly responsible for averting the capture of many men".
