The book belonged to Ethel May Harrison, who was born in Leamington Spa on 24 June 1899. Ethel was offered an art scholarship when she was young but her parents couldn't afford for her to take it up. She left school aged 13 to train as a dress maker at Frank Smith Dressmaking.
