Description:Pink silk handkerchief trimmed with a lace border. The handkerchief is embroidered in the top right corner with a bunch of flowers in blue, white and red. The flowers are tied together with a ribbon in the colours of the French flag. Below "Souvenir de France" is embroidered in blue.
The handkerchief belonged to Ethel May Harrison (nee Tims). She had two brothers, Jack and Fred, who were both killed in action in World War One. They are named on the Leamington Spa War Memorial. They wrote to Ethel regularly during the war, as well as sending her souvenirs from France, such as a handkerchief and cloth case.
