Description:Tailors use prickle wheels to prepare thick fabrics for sewing. The prickle wheel is run across the fabric which leaves a line of holes that sewing needles can easily pass through.

This prickle wheel was given to Richard Dodd by his wife. He worked at Hall and Son Tailors in Leamington from 1954 until it closed in 1998.
