Description:A letter sent by George Henry Waller to his father, Thomas Wathen Waller. George is serving in the Crimean War and has been suffering from a fever, so is recovering at Therapia.

He describes it as a delightful place. Unfortunately he is soon due to go back to Scutari, to which Therapia is infinitely superior. He is afraid he will hardly be strong enough to go back, but has hopes of getting his leave extended from the 20th to the end of the month.

He also mentions that whilst at Scutari he has spoken to Miss Florence Nightingale.
