Description:

A black fabric doll wearing a maid's costume. The costume consists of a black dress and white apron, collar and cap.

It is thought that this doll was made to coincide with the release of the film Gone with the Wind in 1940. It was probably modelled on the character Prissy, a maid in the O'Hara family home. The character was played by the actress Butterfly McQueen in the film.
