Date:1951 - 1955 (c.)

Description:

A green Leamington College school tie with yellow, blue and red stripes. It was worn by John Dawe who was a student at the College on Binswood Avenue from 1951 to 1955.

Mr Dawe remembers 'the wearing of school uniform was mandatory and adherence to the rule was strictly policed by the school staff and the prefects. Woe betide any boy who was spotted travelling to or from the school not wearing his cap on foot or even riding a cycle!'
