Description:

An early 20th century typewriter made of metal and glass. The typewriter belonged to Norman Gulliman. He bought it in c.1948 for use in his decorating business, 'Bradshaw's' of Beaconsfield Street, Leamington Spa. The typewriter has a black leather cover.

Mr Gulliman was from a local family and was born at the Windmill Pub on Tachbrook Road, which his parents ran. They also ran the attached wharf (called Gulliman's Wharf), from which his grandfather ran a barge.
