This sculpture was cast from a maquette for part of the 'Elephant Circle' sculpture seat that Dimbleby designed for outside the Royal Priors Centre, Whitehead Court, Leamington Spa. The piece was commissioned through a competition run by the Royal Priors Centre. The statue was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II, and the first edition of the maquette cast was presented to her as a gift.
