A single sheet newspaper from a copy of The Birmingham Gazette on the 8th May 1926. The newspaper discusses the country wide strikes and attempts to prevent the movement of food. The strike of 1926, known as the 'General Strike', was a reaction against pay reductions and longer working hours for coal miners. It lasted for nine days from the 3rd May to the 12th May.
