Description:A Kabyle, circular, open, pottery bowl, with painted decoration.

This bowl was hand made by the Kabyle women. The outer face has been partly scorched, and the inside has white, yellow and red geometric designs. Before firing the pot was covered in a white slip, painted and then fired in a bonfire. Varnish was applied after firing when the pot was taken straight out of the firing pit.
