Description:
A British colour postcard featuring several patriotic images. To the bottom right is Britannia holding a trident and with a bulldog at her feet. She also leans on a shield bearing the Union Jack flag. A second flag appears over the top right of the image featuring the symbols of Wales (red dragon), Ireland (harp) and England (three lions). There is a battle scene on the top half of the postcard and the words to the third verse of Land of Hope and Glory on the bottom half. Produced by Bamforth & Co. Ltd. of Holmfirth and New York, Series no. 4804/3.
