Description:This copper printing plate depicts a view of the New Upper Assembly Rooms at Leamington Spa, built in 1812. The printing plate bears an engraved inscription, which reads: 'PERSPECTIVE VIEW of the NEW ASSEMBLY ROOMS at LEAMINGTON / Published As The Act Directs By J. Bisset For The Beauties Of Leamington'. The plate was published by James Bisset, who opened the first Museum of Curiosities in Leamington.
