Description:The statue of Queen Victoria outside Leamington Spa Town Hall was funded by public donations, and was unveiled in 1902. During World War II a bomb blast caused the statue to shift two inches on its plinth.
The young Princess Victoria visited Leamington Spa in 1830 and stayed at the Regent Hotel. In 1838, a year after she became Queen, Victoria granted Leamington a Charter allowing the town to adopt the name Royal Leamington Spa.
