Description:The large swimming pool at the Royal Pump Rooms features a unique iron roof. It was designed by William de Normanville and opened in 1890. Until 1950, the pool was used by men only, there being a separate Ladies' Pool for women. During the winter months the pool was covered with boards and became known as the 'Winter Hall', which was used for dances. Between 1997-1999 the Royal Pump Rooms were redeveloped and the swimming pool now houses Leamington Spa public Library.
