Description:Copps' Royal Hotel

The print depicts the first Copps' Royal Hotel, which was opened by Thomas Michael Copps on High Street, Leamington Spa in 1814. In 1827 the hotel opened at larger premises on the corner of Clemens Street and High Street. This building was demolished in 1847 to make way for the railway bridge over Clemens Street.
