The Leamington and Warwick Railway, which opened on 14 December 1844, was the first railway line to link Leamington Spa with London. This print depicts a busy scene at Kenilworth Station, which was one of the stops along the route. The image is one of two prints that appeared in the London Illustrated News on the day of the railway opening.
