Description:

Argentinian copper four centavos, 1854

Diameter 36mm

The obverse features the Sol de Mayo (Sun of May). The Sol de Mayo commemorates the May Revolution that led to Argentina's independence from Spain. The inscription around the outside reads 'CONFEDERACION ARGENTINA'. The date is below flanked by dots. The reverse features the denomination and the words 'TESORO NACIONAL BANCO'.
