Description:

Belgian medal c.1910

Diameter 54mm

This medal was badly burnt in the fire at the Exposition Universelle et Indsutrielle des Bruxelles in 1910. The medal is a 'cross' or 'star' shape with spheres at the points of the cross and a flat circle at the centre. There is a star upon the inlay at each of the angles of the cross. The medal does not correspond in detail to any of the major Belgian Orders but has features similar to the Order of Leopold I and II as well as the Orders of the Crown and the Orders of the Lion.
