Medal struck to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. The obverse features the diademed laureate bust of Queen Victoria facing left and the name 'Pinches London', possibly that of the engraver or designer, all within a central ring. The inscription around the outside reads 'QUEEN VICTORIA BORN MAY 24th 1819 ASCENDED THE THRONE 20th JUNE 1837'. The obverse features a coat of arms bearing a three turreted gate flanked by two lions and with a fish in a moat at the base. The shield is mounted on a badge, through which is a pin. A banner hangs from the pin bearing the words 'BOROUGH OF STAFFORD/ W.H. PEACH, MAYOR'. Above is the Stafford knot dividing the Latin inscription 'IN CORDIBUS POPULI IMPERIUM'. A scroll around the outer edge reads 'JUBILEE OF HER MAJESTYS REIGN 1887'. There is a fixed suspension bar above with a ring attached.
