Description:

Swiss bronze 2 rappen, 1850

Diameter 30mm

The obverse features the Swiss Coat of Arms of a white cross on a red background with plumes above and an oak and olive branch crossed behind. Above is the inscription 'HELVETIA'. The date below is flanked by the Privy Marks of a dog's head for the Engraver General of Paris and a hand for the Mint Director of Paris. The reverse features a central number '2' within a wreath. Below is the mintmark for Paris, 'A'.
