Description:

Witney brass token, 1655

Diameter 15mm

The obverse features a lion. The name of 'JOHN YOUNG' is inscribed around the outside and there is a five pointed star above. The reverse features the letters 'Y', 'I' and 'A' separated by diamonds. Around the outside is written 'OF WITNEY 1655' separated by two diamonds with a star above.
