English copper halfpenny, 1807


Diameter 28mm


The obverse features the laureate and draped bust of George III and the inscription 'GEORGIUS III.D:G.REX.1807', Latin, abbreviated meaning 'George III By the Grace of God'. The reverse features Britannia with a shield at her side and a trident in her left hand, she also holds an olive branch in her right hand. The inscription reads 'BRITANNIA'.
