Medal struck to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria's reign. The obverse features the diademed bust of Queen Victoria facing left with the inscription 'VICTORIA REGINA'. The obverse features a radiate crown above the inscription 'IN COMMEMORATION/ OF THE FIFTIETH YEAR/ OF THE REIGN OF H.G.M/ QUEEN VICTORIA/ ASCENDED THE THRONE/ JUNE 20TH/ 1837', surrounded by a wreath of olive branches. A hole has been pierced in the top and a ring is attached for suspension, this is not part of the original design.
