Irish copper Farthing, 1806


Diameter 21mm


The obverse features the laureate and draped bust of George III facing right and the abbreviated Latin inscription, 'GEORGIUS III. D:G. REX', meaning 'George III, By the Grace of God, King'. The reverse features a harp, the national symbol of Ireland, with a crown above. The inscription reads 'HIBERNIA' (Ireland) and the date is below.
